Climate Buzz in Detroit

So it seems climate change is a little more on the tips of Detroiters’ tongues lately, which is good. Here is what I’ve noticed:

  • The Detroit Free Press’s August primary voter guide had a question about climate change in it. A first as far as I know.
  • On October 5 Citizens Climate Lobby organized a candidate’s forum about climate change for mayoral and city council candidates.
  • On October 24 my film FROM THE BOTTOM UP: CLIMATE ACTION IN DETROIT will be premiering at 6p at the Wright Museum in Detroit. Admission is free, flyer for the event is shown below. You are invited to join us, sign up here!! The film will also be screening on November 8th at the American Public Health Association’s annual meeting and expo in Atlanta, GA.
  • On October 26, rumor has it that there will be a press conference to introduce the City of Detroit’s Climate Action Plan.

Huh. Not bad Detroit, keep it up!
